The Jazz Academy of Richmond (Va.) The purpose of The Jazz Academy of Richmond (Va.) is to operate as a community-based educational institution dedicated to the study, preservation, and performance of jazz, an original American musical art form. The organization provides music instruction, workshops, and performance opportunities to individuals of all ages and backgrounds, with a commitment to community engagement, cultural enrichment, and the continued legacy of jazz.
