The Jazz Academy of Richmond was born out of a deep passion to enrich the local community. Driven by a vision to expand creative horizons for young people,  the J.A.R. was etablished to provide more robust musical opportunities for youth across the Richmond area and its surrounding vicinities. By offering rigorous instruction and cultivating a vibrant performance space, the academy ensures that the rich legacy of jazz remains a living, breathing dialogue passed down to the next generation of musicians.
